About Sarah & The Winning Resume
Sarah grew up in a small, coastal Maine town, migrating south after high school to Virginia to earn her bachelor’s degree, graduating with honors.
Following college, she worked in marketing / advertising firms (Production, Human Resources, Facilities, and Executive Assistance) for nearly 15 years before joining Manpower-owned Right Management in a career transition role as an Engagement Specialist (2016) and then transitioning to the Resume Coach position (2017). In 2022, Sarah was selected to join the Executive Resume Coach team. She recently started facilitating a live Q&A webinar on resume development.

How valuable is the ‘free initial review’ offered by other resume services? It’s only valuable if you want AI reviewing your resume, spitting out generic recommendations and canned critiques that will inevitably steer you toward an upgrade to their paid services. Resumes should not be ‘one-template-fits-all’ documents – they should be as unique as the individual they represent.
When is the first draft delivered? With many resume services, you’ll wait about a week. At The Winning Resume, you’ll receive a 1-2-business day turnaround on initial edits, as well as in response to future drafts you send.
How many rounds of revisions are included? Two rounds are commonly included in package ‘deals’ with the big resume service companies that charge hundreds of dollars. Not with The Winning Resume…we tailor the amount of coaching support until you are fully satisfied with your resume. We offer regular email and phone support, as well as real-time virtual video meetings (or in-person meetings for clients local to the Charlotte, NC metro area), if desired.
